Every Human Has Rights launched as a campaign to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights in 2008 by the Elders. The year saw the beginnings of a revival of awareness of the Declaration and it’s principles, which still hold strong today.
Now, Every Human Has Rights has been proudly taken over by CIVICUS.
We’re looking for ways to help raise awareness of the principles of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and take action on them. In a world where people are still persecuted for speaking out, children still don’t have access to basic education and women are still abused and marginalised human rights have too often just been pushed aside.
We believe that EVERY HUMAN HAS RIGHTS – whoever they are, wherever they are from and begin with the basis of the Universal Declaration:
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”
And we’re building a network of people who feel the same and will learn, share and act together. Please join us.
